Sanchez has had a rough go of it so far in 2016 as he is yet to post a quality start in any of his 10 starts to date. His last outing Wednesday against Philadelphia was particularly ugly, but it wasn’t entirely his fault. He was charged with 6 runs on 8 hits over 6 innings, but only 3 of the runs were earned. He was ultimately pegged with the loss however as the Tigers dropped the game 8-5.

Santiago had been one of the Angels’ most reliable starters up until his last two outings. He’s failed to complete 3 innings in each of his previous two outings, one because he was ejected in the top of the 3rd for arguing balls & strikes, and his last time out was just ugly in Texas. In that game he was charged with 6 runs (5 earned) on 5 hits in just 2 1/3 innings in a game that got out of hand for the Angels and ended up as a 15-9 loss.
