Cam Bedrosian will pitch to hitters today at the Angels' spring training facility in Arizona. His return from a groin strain is nearing.

This tweet was From Saturday, and it looks like Cam Bedrosian will be returning shortly. Huston Street is also on the cusp of a full recovery from his injury, as he’s in the middle of his minor league rehab assignment. This will of course create a logjam in the a bullpen that has gone from perhaps the biggest area of concern for the Angels to the strongest aspect of their game.
Mike Morin was activated from the DL this weekend, and Daniel Wright was sent back down to AAA Salt Lake. Chances are Morin will likely go when Bedrock returns. Then, when Street is back all bets are probably on Keynan Middleton going back down despite his 3.12 ERA.
Who would’ve thought this was going to be a case of rock, paper, scissors in the Halos’ pen? The biggest question of all, however, will be whether or not Bud Norris will keep his closer role. Since he’s revived himself in that role, it would probably be a good idea to keep Bedrosian and Street in set-up roles. But there will likely be a short leash on Norris with so much closer depth.
Regardless of the tough decisions looming, this is a good problem to have when the Angels are only a game-and-a-half back of the American League Wild Card heading into June.
