Angels Release Michael Bourn

The Angels outfield depth chart has been getting crowded with Eric Young, Jr. finding new life in his role with the club. The presence of Ben Revere doesn’t help either. Then there’s the upcoming return of Mike Trout.

It was inevitable that Bourn was going to move on after just a month with AAA Salt Lake, where he was hitting .260/.317/.365. Many of us forgot that he was even with the Halos.

But one has to wonder if the team would’ve gotten better production than Revere if they had their hands on Bourn first? As long as EY is cruising, we’ll take what we have in that spot.
