The Freeway Series begins again! Angels face former teammates Zack Greinke and Dan Haren.

The city of Los Angeles has been on top of the baseball world this season. Both the Los Angeles Angels and Dodgers are expected to make the postseason. The Dodgers are in first in the NL West, and while the Angels are in second in the AL West, they have the second best record in all of baseball. They are just unfortunate enough to be in the division with the league’s best team in the Oakland A’s. Even then, they are currently just one game back. But this week the two teams are battling for supremacy in the city, with the Dodgers schedule and Angels schedule colliding for a four-game series between the two team’s parks. The first two games are in Dodger Stadium with Dodgers tickets averaging $48.91, up 20 percent from the season average. And the last two games are at Angels Stadium with Angels tickets averaging $126.51 for the series, up 136 percent from their season average.

LAA Garrett Richards vs. LAD Zack Greinke | Avg. Price: $50.81 | Get-in Price: $16

The Angels send their ace out for the first game of the series with Garrett Richards looking for his 12th win of the season. Richards has a 2.74 ERA and 3.6 WAR in 144.1 innings. He’s easily been the team’s best pitcher leading the staff of one of the best team’s in the league. Zack Greinke opposes him for the Dodgers, in what should be a stellar pitching match. Greinke has a 2.65 ERA in a team leading 139.1 innings. Tickets are averaging $50.81 for the game with a get-in price of $16.

LAA Hector Santiago vs. LAD Clayton Kershaw | Avg. Price: $47 | Get-in Price: $13

Surprisingly the cheapest game of the series is with Clayton Kershaw on the mound. Kershaw might be the most talked about pitcher in baseball and is most likely the absolute best. He has a minuscule 1.71 ERA and a matching 1.71 FIP to go along with a 4.5 WAR in 17 starts. Tickets are averaging $47 for the game with a get-in price of just $13.

LAD Dan Haren vs. LAA Matt Shoemaker | Avg. Price: $109.25 | Get-in Price: $35

The series moves to Angels Stadium with Matt Shoemaker making the start for the Angels. Shoemaker has been a good starter for the Angels in his rookie season. He has an 8-2 record in his 12 starts, and has a 3.88 ERA that is probably worse than he deserves. He has a 2.83 FIP which just barely trails the 2.71 figure Richards has, and his 1.6 WAR matches Tyler Skaggs for second on the team despite making six less starts. The game is averaging $109.25 per ticket and has a $35 get-in price.

LAD Hyun-Jin Ryu vs. LAA CJ Wilson | Avg. Price: $143.76 | Get-in Price: $44

The final game of the series easily is the most expensive. Tickets are averaging $143.76 with a $44 get-in price. CJ Wilson gets the start for the Angels and is having a very disappointing season. Wilson was a big signing acquired the same year the team signed Albert Pujols. He’s been solid since signing the contract, but has not been part of the pitching staffs turnaround. He’s last on the team with a 4.74 ERA and just 0.4 WAR in 117.2 inning pitched.
