Not only did the Angels drop the rubber game of their three game set in San Diego on Sunday; but the ball club lost two outfielders. 

Vernon Wells is expected to miss 8-10 weeks with surgery to repair a torn thumb ligament. To replace Wells roster the Angels recalled OF Kole Calhoun from Triple A-SLC.

Calhoun 24, was batting .296 with a .365 on-base percentage for the Bees. A left-handed batter; Calhoun could see time in all OF spots with the primary lineup being Mike Trout/Peter Bourjos/ Mark Trumbo until Torii Hunter returns from the restricted list.

Outfielder Ryan Langerhans was also injured yesterday seperating his shoulder. Langerhans was also placed on the 15-day disabled list. 

To replace Langerhans on the roster the ballclub has recalled RHP Bobby Cassevah. 

Cassevah has been with the Angels in the past missed all of Spring Training with a shoulder injury.
