Angels Stadium, Anaheim CA - Today the Angels placed ace starting pitcher Jered Weaver on the 15 day disabled list for a muscle strain in his back.
Back spasms occured during last night's start against the New York Yankees. Weaver could miss 2 to 3 starts.
The Angels announced the recall of RHP Garret Richards to replace Weaver on the roster.
