BOSTON - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim placed outfield Peter Bourjos on the 15-Day disabled list with a sore right wrist. The move is retroactive to August 19th.
To fill the roster spot right-handed pitcher Garrett Richards has been promoted from Triple-A Salt Lake City Bees. Richards is 3-2, 4.33 ERA in 10 games (nine games started). For the Bees, Richards was 7-3, 4.21 in 14 games started.
Bourjos will be eligible to return to the Angels on September 3 after the Major League rosters expand.
