Anaheim, CA - Angels fans mourn the passing of Angel Stadium PA announcer David Courtney. Courtney for the past 18 seasons announced every Angel from Tim Salmon to Mike Trout as well as future Hall of Famers from all of Major League Baseball.

Courtney was a familiar voice for both the Los Angeles Kings and Los Angeles Clippers at STAPLES Center as well as a fixture on radios across the Southern California.

I will miss talking Angels and Kings before Halo games and hearing him say "Your Los Angeles Angels" and "Los Angeles Goal!"

For more on David's work with the Kings and Clippers, John Hoven at Mayors Manor has put up a great tribute.

The Los Angeles Angels released a statement on Courtney's passing.

“The Angels family is deeply saddened to hear of David’s passing.  He was a gentle soul, a consummate professional and an unforgettable voice tied to several professional Southern California sports teams. Over the past 18 years, his love, dedication and passion for the Angels was evident every time his voice rang through the ballpark. Our thoughts and prayers go out to David’s family at this difficult time.”

He is survived by his wife Janet Fisher-Courtney
