After a night where the Halos crushed the ball for four homeruns, their bats were silenced and sedated tonight against Hisashi Iwakuma and the Seattle Mariners. With the Astros losing again, the Halos had a chance to take sole possession of first place. But it didn’t happen. After loading the bases with nobody out in the first inning, the Angels hitters failed to cash and in and never woke up after that. Iwakuma came into the game with a 7.17 ERA in limited innings, and it looked like he was going to struggle again. But he bounced back and earned the win. C.J. Wilson struggled early but battled his way to 6 2/3 innings. However, the offense never backed him up, and the M’s took this one.
