The Angels have some decisions to make in the next week as far as their starting rotation. Jared Weaver is returning from the disabled list, and with that Manager Mike Scioscia will have to decide who stays and who goes to the bullpen. More on this and other updates in this week’s running post of ‘Scioscia’s Office’:

  • Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register has some updates on Weaver and Robertson, as well as Mike Scioscia’s thoughts on the Scott Kazmir trade.
  • According to Alden Gonzalez of Angels.com, Matt Shoemaker is probably headed to the bullpen when Jered Weaver returns. If so, he’ll do so with a 2.31 ERA in his last four starts.
  • Gonzalez also had previous updates on Jered Weaver, Collin Cowgill, Trevor Gott, and Nick Tropeano.
  • Tropeano’s start at AAA Salt Lake was pushed back. Some thought he would start on Friday for the Halos, but turns out all Bees starters were pushed back to allow prospect Tanner DeLoach to start.
  • Mike Trout’s heel is fine, he just needed to rest on it. It creeped up on him and he doesn’t know where it came from. Mike will be back on the field Wednesday night against the Minnesota Twins.
